LUBENHAM HERITAGE GROUP Annual General Meeting for 2026 to be held on Tuesday 17th February 2026 7:30pm in the Onyx Room Please note that the AGM takes place on Tuesday 17th February at 7.30pm in the Onyx Room. It is your chance to hear the report on our activities in 2025, receive the financial report and elect the committee. The AGM is the obvious place to put forward your opinions and ideas, so please try to join us for a glass of wine and a chat, as we discuss the future
On 18th November, thirteen members of the Lubenham Heritage Group ventured to Loughborough for an outstanding guided tour of the UK’s only remaining Bell Foundry. Click “Read More” to see the photos taken and to hear the bells.
This visit has now been cancelled as the National Trust has been unable to confirm that we can have a guided visit. Anglesey Abbey, a National Trust Jacobean-style house with gardens and water mill, on the outskirts of Cambridge is well worth a visit. Click on photo to see more images of Anglesey Abbey.
Melton Mowbray is a charming town famous for its pork pies and stilton cheese. It has a rich history of royal connections, hunting traditions, and rural heritage and the town’s medieval church, historic market, and the fascinating museum are all worthy of a visit. Twenty LHG members headed to Melton Mowbray on 20th June on a very sunny day to learn about the history of this interesting Leicestershire town.
