Lubenham Heritage Group

We were lucky to have a beautiful, warm and sunny day for our visit to Thorney, a village near Peterborough, with a long and very interesting history. Twenty-eight of us made the trip which was hosted by The Thorney Society, whose representative  spoke to us about  the history of the village, the Bedford Hall and The Abbey. There was also a fascinating little museum. On top of all this lunch was a real feast and we would like to thank all those involved in making our day such a success.
