Lubenham All Saints Church Graveyard Survey
It all began in 2015 when, following an approach from All Saints Parochial Church Council (PCC) to LHG, it was decided to update the survey carried out by the Women’s Institute in 1981. A small but dedicated group of volunteers began recording all the graves and their hard work has finally come to fruition with the publication of the Survey.
The survey contains 740 references to people commemorated in the five sections of the graveyard. Of these memorials, there are only 36 graves, which do not identify whose memories they represent. There are also a further 29 people recognised by memorials in the Garden of Remembrance in Section D.

The survey is now on display and available to view in All Saints Church where it will be used not only by those keen to trace relatives and friends but by people researching the history of our village.
A draft copy of the Graveyard Survey is now also accessible on the internet. The survey is accessible as both a Google Docs link and a link to a PDF file.
Currently all the Graves are identified by the person buried and the Graves’ positions. The details identified on each gravestone will be added gradually. To access a copy of the survey, click either of the two following links:
- Google docs version of the Graveyard Survey. This version has links within the document to help navigation forwards and backwards between the sections. You will be asked to sign into your Google account when you open this link, but you should be able to access all the information within the document without signing in.
- PDF version of the Graveyard Survey also has contains the same links, but they cannot be accessed when opening the document from a web browser. However, this version can be downloaded to your PC / lap-top and the downloaded file can be opened on your PC / lap-top with all the links in the document, eg the Contents List and access to the Gravestone details, enabled.
Please click on this link and drop us an email if:
- you notice errors in this early on-line draft of the survey.
- there are Gravestone details, which you would like to access for your research, that are currently unavailable.
We will do our best to reply to all requests and to update the on-line survey.
