National Memorial Arboretum – Visit – Friday 24th April
On Friday 24th April 2026, Esther Hancock arranged an excellent visit to the National Memorial Arboretum for eleven of our members, who all travelled together on the Harborough Community Bus. The tour started with a 50 mins Train Tour around the Arboretum with a guided commentary and then we were able to explore the arboretum.
The National Memorial Arboretum was developed from 2001 and officially opened on 16th May 2001 and the Armed Forces Memorial is well worth a visit, commemorating over 16,000 military personnel who lost their lives in conflict or as a result of terrorism since the end of the Second World War.
