A Toastmaster’s Tale
Tuesday 13th January 2026
7.30pm in Lubenham Village Hall
Next month’s meeting is a light-hearted and informative look at the world of a modern British toastmaster. Geoffrey Harris has worked at some of the most prestigious venues up and down the country and is known as an entertaining speaker.
Just what is the etiquette needed to introduce a knight of the realm? What do you do when you are left with a drunken guest at the end of the evening?
The answers to these questions and so much more are guaranteed to raise a smile.
This should be a fun evening!
Membership Fees 2026
The membership subscription rate will remain unchanged for 2026 at £15 per person. To try to keep up with increasing meeting costs such as speaker fees, entry charges at the door will rise from January to £2 for members and £4 for non-members.
You can renew your membership at any LHG meeting or contact our Treasurer Michael Weedon.
Please note that membership not renewed by February 28th will expire on that date.
To help further cover the costs of meetings the committee is keen to revive the traditional monthly raffle, as that has in the past helped to make up the events. Helping hands and donations are both needed to make this happen. If you can help please speak to one of the committee members. “
Meetings Programme 2026
Have you collected your copy of the 2026 Programme? This is available at LHG meetings and on LHG website (www.lubenhamheritagegroup.co.uk). It was also printed in the December edition of Lubenham News.
The programme is the usual mixture covering a variety of topics, including several of local interest and sees the return of some of our most popular speakers. We hope you enjoy what we have organised.
And Finally….
We send Season’s Greetings and best wishes to all our Members and friends.

See you all next year!
