- Kibworth Harcourt Post Mill – A History – 14th July 2026 – Graham Watts
The milling of grain and flour has been vital for local communities over the centuries, and most villages had their own mill or access to one nearby. On Tuesday 14th July Graham Watts will give us an illustrated talk on the Kibworth Harcourt Post Mill and the importance of mills for both society and the producer.
- Local Maps – The Big Picture – 11th August 2026 – Michael Weedon
LHG has amassed a rich collection of local maps and plans. This talk brings many of those documents back to the light of day, showing how the village has changed over time.
- Leicestershire and Rutland Archaeology FestivalThe Leicestershire and Rutland Archaeology Festival runs from 4th July to 2nd August with lots of events, talks and guided visits planned.
- 2027 ProgrammeTess has been putting together a most interesting programme for 2027. We are also looking at our 2026 Christmas meeting. More news later.
